Your nervous system is always scanning for safety — often outside of your conscious awareness. Polyvagal theory helps us understand the biology behind fight, flight, freeze, and connection responses. In treatment, this means learning to recognize your own nervous system states, understanding why you respond the way you do, and building the capacity to move toward regulation, connection, and resilience — gently, and at your own pace.

We all have an internal narrator — a stream of thoughts that can pull us into the past, push us into the future, and convince us that what we think is what is true. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy gently interrupts that pattern. By combining structured mindfulness practices with cognitive therapy techniques, MBCT helps you develop the capacity to notice thoughts and feelings as they arise — without automatically believing them or acting on them. Over time, this creates space between experience and response, which is where real choice lives. Originally developed for recurrent depression, MBCT has broad application for anxiety, stress, and anyone who has ever felt at the mercy of their own mind.

Distressing memories and experiences can become "stuck" in the nervous system, replaying as though they are still happening. EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation — typically eye movements — to help the brain reprocess these memories in a way that reduces their emotional charge. What was once overwhelming becomes something that can be held with perspective and calm. EMDR is one of the most rigorously researched trauma treatments available.

IFS is a therapeutic approach that recognizes we are not one single, fixed self - but a system of inner parts, each carrying its own perspective, history, and need. Some parts protect us. Some carry old pain. And beneath them all exists what IFS calls the Self: a calm, curious, compassionate center that was never damaged by what we've been through. The work of IFS is not to eliminate the difficult parts, but to understand them - and in doing so, restore the internal connection that makes healing possible.

NeurOptimal® is a non-invasive brain training system that supports the central nervous system in self-regulating more efficiently. Sensors read your brain's electrical activity in real time, and when the system detects patterns of dysregulation, a subtle audio cue prompts the brain to recalibrate — naturally, without effort on your part. Over a series of sessions, many clients notice improvements in sleep, focus, anxiety, mood, and stress resilience. Nothing is sent into the brain; it is simply being shown itself, and given the opportunity to reorganize.
